Samarium Cobalt Magnets (SmCo) Introduction

Samarium Cobalt Magnets, SmCo Magnets

Introduce:
Samarium Cobalt magnets (also known as SmCo magnets), the second generation of Rare Earth magnet material, have high magnetic properties, excellent thermal stability and resistant to corrosion.
Compared with NdFeB, It needn't to be coated. It can typically be used up to 300 'C. Therefore, It is used in those fields, that applications demand resistance to wide range temperature and environments.
However, It is extremely brittle and the cost is relatively expensive.
Sintered SmCo magnets usually divided into SmCo5 and Sm2Co17 according to the components.
SmCo magnets are widely used in micro motors, watch, instruments, transduces, generators, positional detector, radar communications, etc.
