Fused Magnesium Oxide (also called as Electrofused Magnesium Oxide; Electro Fused Magnesium Oxide; Fused Magnesia; Electrical Grade Magnesium Oxide etc.) powder is produced by using the high purity Magnesium Oxide as raw material, by electric melting method at over 3000 oC, where MgO is fused, then cooled to obtain magnesium oxide crystal, crushed and screening in different sizes to meet customers requirements.
The Fused Magnesium Oxide has the characteristics like excellent transparency and high hardness of crystallinity, the volume density is 3.5g/cm3. Melting point is 2800 oC. It is insoluble in water and ethanol, solube in acid and ammonium salt.
High purity magnesium oxide is from seawater not mineral, resulting in low impurities. Fused magnesium oxide has excellent high temperature resistance and electrical insulation.

Fused magnesium oxide is widely used as high-temperature resistant materials. e.g. in heating elements and refractory industry. It is perfect raw materials for ceramic crucibles, substrate and so on with good light permeability in translucent field. When used as ceramic crucibles, the thermal conductivity of high purity magnesium oxide is twice higher than aluminum oxide, and the loss of electrolyte is only 1/10 of aluminum oxide. High purity magnesium oxide also can be used as filling for heat resistant coating.
