Item No.: ALB-W026. Tungsten Syringe Shield is made of tungsten alloy with purity over 99.95%. Size available: Custom-made per drawing. Standard: ASTM B777.
Tungsten Syringe Shield Description:
ALB Materials Inc is a global supplier of Tungsten Syringe Shield and we can provide tungsten syringe shield as your drawing.
Tungsten Syringe Shield, also called injection shield, isdesigned to reduce hand exposure for clinicians during preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals. The barrel of the tungsten syringe shield could be 0.06"-0.08". With great ability of radiation shielding, tungsten syringe shield could reduce radiation exposure from Tc-99m by more than 99% attenuation for Tc-99.
There is no licensing required for tungsten alloy materials. The usage of tungsten heavy alloy in radiation protection is not subject to NRC, EPA, or special OSHA regulations.
